100 Ways To Cope With Stress – Day Five – Set Appointments Ahead. I’m not really sure what The Carolina Center for Behavorial Health means by this one. Why wouldn’t I set an appointment ahead of when I want to have it? Doctors, hairdressers, cosmetologists, mani/pedicurists, etc. Well, these are appointments I would normally plan for. I think the underlying premise is that it causes me less stress when I set the appointment and don’t procrastinate until the last minute to do so. Procrastination has been something I’ve struggled with for many years and sometimes it seems as if it grows stronger as I age. I have to constantly fight its pull. The Bible admonishes me to be diligent, not wait, be a good steward. One area of my life I have not procrastinated is in the area of salvation. On June 1, 1972, when asked if I knew for sure if I was going to heaven, I said I didn’t know and that person showed me from God’s Word how I could know. I did not procrastinate and have never regretted the decision! II Corinthians 6:2 says – Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. Friend, the most important appointment you will have in life is found in Hebrews 9:27 – And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. You will definitely feel stress on that day when you stand before your Creator if you don’t make the appointment to settle the salvation question with God today. Please don’t wait!
