I’m going to deviate today from my routine of blogging about stress busters because I want to share some words I read this morning in the devotional book, Streams in the Desert, by L. B. Cowman. I checked in the front of the book, and it is ok if I copy these words for short quotations.
“We need to yield our lives to God as a definite act of our wills. Don’t think of your own precious plans that they might be thwarted, or your hopes that might have to be surrendered, or your chosen profession that might have to be abandoned. Don’t be afraid to yield your will to God’s.
God may have better things for you. Don’t let your soul run from Him.
Realize the One who loved you enough to die for you can absolutely be trusted with the total concerns of your life which He died to save.
You can trust the One who died for you. You can trust Him to stop each plan that should be stopped and to complete each one that results in His greatest glory and your highest good. You can trust Him to lead you down the path that is the very best in this world for you.”
These words were a true blessing to me today, and I just wanted to share them with all of you.
